Trainer - Ethan Hall

 

Trainer - Brittany Hipler

Brittany Hippler began training and showing dogs at the age of ten. At the age of eleven, she got her first agility title with her poodle, Bennett. Brittany and Bennett went on to earn several championships, and have placed at various national events over the years. Like Bennett, all of Brittany’s dogs hold numerous titles, and have competed in AKC, UKC, and NADAC agility. Brittany uses the positive reinforcement training method, and believes that building a strong foundation is the key to successful training. Brittany has been teaching agility classes since 2006, and currently offers private lessons and group classes in all levels of agility.

Puppy Training Classes in Maryland

This is for puppies up to 4 months old. Some of the topics covered are socializing your puppy, puppy imprinting, basic obedience exercises such as sit, down, come and walk on a loose lead. Discussion forum on, How dogs learn and communicate, The "Alpha" dog, house-breaking, crate training, nipping, jumping, barking, chewing, etc.

Basic Dog Obedience Classes in Maryland

This is for dogs over 4 months and up to any age. The course will cover the commands sit, down, stay, come, heel and walking on a loose lead. Attention and conditioning to respond to first commands is focused on in this class to create a strong foundation. Discussion forums on common dog issues and behavioral problems.

Intermediate/Canine Good Citizen® (CGC)

This class is for dogs that have completed the Basic class. Concepts from the Basic class are expanded upon and practical applications of commands are taught. The American Kennel Club® (AKC) seeks to officially recognize those dogs that possess the attributes that enable them to serve effectively as personal companions and as a member in good standing with the community. Dogs need not be purchased or registered with the AKC to earn a Canine Good Citizen® (CGC) award. The AKC CGC test will be given at end of course and titles and certificates are awarded.

Advanced Obedience

This class if for dogs that have completed the Intermediate class. The training exercises introduced in the pervious class are expanded upon. Introduction of off leash obedience and performance with distractions are covered.

Rally-O

Rally is a combination of obedience and agility and dogs and handlers love it. Rally Obedience emphasizes fun and excietment for the dog/handler team while providing a more natural performance, which improves the dog's attitude and builds a sense of teamwork.

Agility Training for Dogs in Maryland

Our agility classes are for dog owners just looking to have fun with your favorite pal and/or those interested in competition. This fun and exciting dog sport has taken the country by storm. Train your dog to scramble over an a-frame, jump through a tire and race through a tunnel. Agility provides exercise for you and your dog. It strengthens the handler/dog bond, improves communication and builds confidence. We offer beginner through advanced agility.

Show Breed/Handling

Designed to prepare both the handler and the dog for competing in the conformation ring.

Behavior Modification

We provide specific behavior modification training for those with problem dogs. We can help fix behavior problems such as aggression, digging, chewing and soiling in the house to name a few.

Private Dog Training Lessons in Maryland

Can follow the basic obedience class outline or can be tailored to the student's needs. Private lessons can be held at our location or in-home. This format is a must for aggressive dogs.
