Grooming for Dogs and Cats
Belquest's state-of-the-art grooming salon features a staff
of award-winning pet stylists, including Master Groomers and Certified
Companion Animal Hygienists. We are firm believers in continued education
for our groomers, who all regularly attend seminars to keep up to date
on the latest products, techniques, styles, and health issues. Belquest
provides complete grooming services for both cats and dogs, including oatmeal
baths, medicated shampoos and conditioners. Baths are complete with nail
trim and ear cleaning.
Grooming services are a la carte, so please call for prices. Reservations
are required for pets not boarding and are available year round. Our award-winning
staff of groomers are experienced in all styles of grooming: for the show
ring, or just to make your pet more comfortable.
Part of every dog's regular grooming program should include a thorough
teeth brushing, in addition to a bath, clip, nail trim, etc. A regular
brushing helps remove tartar build-up, preserving your dog's teeth and
reducing "doggie breath." Belquest offers teeth brushing services
performed by professional Companion Animal Hygienists (CAH).
If you'd like, we'll even let you "watch and learn" our grooming
session with your pet, so you can keep up the process at home. We have
grooming tools for sale in our "Boutique" and will be happy to
help you choose the items you need at home.
Shed Less Program for Dogs and Cats
Now you can control your pet's shedding! At Belquest we now offer a carefully
designed and tested treatment program for pets that have a shedding problem.
This process removes 60%-80% of the hair your pet would normally shed all
over your home. Your pet will look great and feel great too!
Our Shed Less Treatment Program is enjoyable for your pet. Preceded with
our special Hydro Surge massage bath -- using special shampoos and massage
techniques -- followed by a high velocity blow-dry to remove all excess
coat inch by inch. Then our groomers brush, comb and employ a special "carding" technique
to eliminate all of your pet's excess hair, without disturbing your pet's
outer, protective coat.
Within one or two amazing treatments, your pet's coat will be relieved
of the excess "dead" hair which otherwise would be falling out
all over your home! For the first 24 hours after a Shed Less Carding treatment,
your pets hair follicles will be disturbed, and you may notice some shedding.
And, when your pet is excited, natural "stress shedding" can
still occur. However, after the first 24 hours, your pet's coat and your
